Duo Silb
Kristina Kuusisto, Finland, and Roger Eon, France, both have a solid classical background: the Sibelius Academy of Helsinki for her, Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris and CNR de la Courneuve for him.
They also have a great artistic curiosity that has led them to work with musicians from different horizons: jazz or folk music, Brazilian or Breton music, old or contemporary music, or with painters and dancers ...
They met in a quintet of tango around the music of the great Argentine composer Astor Piazzolla and soon their musical affinity led them to work as a duet.
Their compositions are for the most part elaborate with two heads, each drawing on his own musical sources with multiple influences. A gentle alchemy follows, a lot of attention, a good dose of patience and listening, and the music takes shape little by little like a leaven that ferments. This is certainly also why their complicity is reflected so much when they are on stage.
Roger Eon - Guitar
Roger Eon studied with Alberto Ponce at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris and at the Conservatoire National de Region de La Courneuve.
1st prize of conservatory, he began to play on the international stages as a soloist, touring Europe and South America (recitals and masterclasses in Brazil, Austria, Czech Republic, France, Spain, Romania, Japan etc.)
Curious about new musical experiences, he plays in many formations, ranging from duo to quintet, in the field of classical music, with traditional Brazilian and Breton musicians.
