Linda Wang - Violin
Linda Wang is among the premier violinists of her generation, consistently praised for her artistry, warm, singing tone and charismatic performances. Since her debut with Zubin Mehta and the New York Philharmonic at the age of nine, Linda Wang has performed as soloist with orchestras throughout the United States, Europe and Asia, collaborating with such conductors as Sir Georg Solti and the Schleswig Holstein Festival Orchestra. In recital Ms. Wang has appeared in over 40 US states and abroad, in such venues as Carnegie Hall and the Berlin Schauspielhaus. Her concerts have also been televised nationally for programs on PBS, A&E, ZDF in Germany and NHK in Japan.
Linda Wang has selected exquisite repertory that features works of Asian composers. Her affinity and capacity to embrace each work affords the listener an opportunity to experience and explore an exciting new repertoire of different timbres, techniques and textures. Ms. Wang's interpretations and joy of collaboration is evident in the nuanced chamber music created with exceptional pianist, Alice Rybak, and two outstanding percussionists, John Kinzie and Tom Miller.
David Allen Wehr - Piano
Pianist David Allen Wehr has established a reputation as one of the most thoughtful and powerful musicians on today's musical scene. He has been heard in over thirty countries in Europe, North and South America and the Far East, playing in the world musical capitals of London, New York, Paris, Vienna, Washington, Madrid, Warsaw and Buenos Aires.
His over 1300 concerts include 13 seasons of touring the US and Canada for Community Concerts, both as recitalist and as pianist with the Sartory Trio. He has amassed a large and critically acclaimed discography with Connoisseur Society, including the complete Beethoven Sonata Cycle.
Mr. Wehr holds the Jack W. Geltz Distinguished Piano Chair at Duquesne University's Mary Pappert School of Music in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where his current performance project is "Beethoven on the Bluff".
